Job Overview

The Director IT Applications Americas & Asia Pacific is part of the extended management team in Global IT and reports directly to the VP IT Applications. The role is responsible to support and manage projects within the regions Americas and Asia Pacific, which are crucial for the future growth of Getinge. As a single person of contact (SPOC) for our regional IT projects and programs, it´s key to maintain and nourish an excellent relationship with all external and internal stakeholders, such as Business Areas, Sales, Service, Quality, and Logistics. Hence a specific focus will be on the ability to quickly understand business processes and how IT systems can support the requirements of our stakeholders. Intensive collaboration with the global IT applications team is key to align on the regional needs.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Responsible for planning and prioritization aligned with regional business objectives, resource management, project management capabilities, and linking execution to strategy.
  • Monitor and give direction on project progress on deadlines, deliverables, resources, timeline, and outcomes.
  • Identify and address opportunities as well as risk, and provide alternative solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Manage internal relationships with all levels of Getinge including field personnel, executive team, customers, contractors, and 3rd party providers.
  • Manage the change for major projects with the following abilities:
    • Manage interdependencies and coordination across cross-functional projects, ensuring communication and information are addressed effectively and on the point to all stakeholders.
    • Report timely to senior management with an overall project overview, main project progress updates, and identified risks and opportunities, enabling further decision-making.
    • Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Manage and develop a high-performance team cultivating diverse talents and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with all business and IT teams within the organization

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate Degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Project management certification PMP or similar
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a program director for a medium to large-sized business (preferably with an outside the Americas)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in medical device or other regulated industry
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Strong experience in implementing ERP- (preferably SAP) and other global systems.
  • Proven transformation process experience demonstrating a strong understanding of Business Processes.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, which include excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
