The SPLC is seeking a Regional Manager, Community Organizer who is passionate about social justice!
The Regional Manager, Community Organizer will lead the Alabama State Office's outreach, organizing, and capacity building efforts in the Southern region of Alabama, with a priority focus on rural communities. The Regional Manager, Community Organizer will work closely with Organizers to engage with the community to understand their priority needs and manage outreach efforts to build capacity in identified focus areas. The Regional Manager helps to translate the organization's annual work plan into effective field tactics and issue-based campaigns, aligned with SPLC's focus pillars. This position will work from Alabama 100% of the time and will cover South Alabama.

What You'll Do
Hire, supervise, and develop a team of state organizers by setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing training and support, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering professional growth.
In partnership with the Alabama State Office and Deputy Director, establish team goals, priorities, and accountability measures that align with organizational objectives and annual work plan commitments.
Translate organizational priorities into actionable work plans with clear timelines, benchmarks, and measurable outcomes, ensuring effective execution of community education, base-building, and issue-based campaigns.
Provide regular updates to the Deputy Director on team performance, work plan implementation, challenges, and progress toward established goals.
Oversee the accurate collection, entry, tracking, and reporting of organizing activities and outcomes, utilizing data to evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, and inform strategic and tactical decision-making.
Build and maintain relationships with community members, grassroots leaders, partner organizations, and key allies to strengthen community engagement and expand the organization's presence and impact throughout the region.
Support community-led advocacy and public education efforts and represent the organization in coalitions, partner meetings, and other community forums to advance organizational priorities and strengthen collaborative partnerships.
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
Minimum Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of community, issue-based, or advocacy organizing experience including experience coaching, mentoring, or leading organizers;
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience; and
- High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation & Benefits
This is an exempt role and the minimum starting salary is $88,500 annually. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
