WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will provide technical support to the Site Technical Manager, assisting with the end-to-end delivery of engineering and maintenance needs at the Unilever operation in Jefferson City, MO. In this role, you will help manage the seamless implementation of projects throughout the site, support factory infrastructure, and operational reliability for the factory. This includes coordinating day-to-day engagement with various stakeholders, managing contractors, ensuring construction safety, overseeing budget management, and scheduling staff. You will support Unilever Manufacturing Standards (UMS) through key pillars, including Early Equipment Management (EEM) and Planned Maintenance (PM). This position reports to the Site Technical Manager at the Jefferson City factory.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
• Leadership and Guidance: Direct and advance the engineering teams in developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving processes, equipment, and technologies for projects in processing, packaging, and other site-supporting projects. Provide real-time guidance for quick decision-making.
• Engineering Analysis: Offer engineering guidance in analyzing production processes and equipment from a first principles approach for optimally implementing continuous and innovative improvement projects. Foster semi-autonomous teams, teach new tools and methodologies, and ensure team alignment.
• Team Performance: Take responsibility for team performance and share best practices for site improvements.
• UMS Methods: Apply Unilever Manufacturing Standards (UMS) methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures, and validate effectiveness for process design and implementation.
• Waste Reduction: Utilize UMS methods for Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), Focused Improvement (FI), and Quality Control (QC) to prioritize and reduce waste in project development and implementation.
• Project Delivery: Ensure on-time, in-full delivery of capital projects, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity goals, and high equipment reliability by drawing resources from various organizational levels.
• Compliance and Standards: Oversee that engineering projects follow Unilever Engineering Standards, ensuring proper installation, commissioning, and training. Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analyses for new processes and/or equipment. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure flawless project implementation.
• Resource Optimization: Ensure optimal resourcing and equipment use through technical knowledge and a systems approach.
• Value Engineering: Promote value engineering and new ways of working while upholding core values.
• Strategic Development: Support the development of both engineering and maintenance strategies to strengthen team development, knowledge, and performance. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices for production efficiency and cost reduction.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, quality, safety, maintenance, and finance, to develop and execute cost reduction strategies.
• Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports, presentations, and analyses to communicate end-to-end project workflow, ongoing initiatives, CapEx and FAR2 reporting, update asset registers and associated reports, and future opportunities to senior management.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience of Electrical & Controls Engineering
• 5+ year experience with NEC/
