Senior Data ScientistWhat does a successful Senior Data Scientist do at Fiserv?
As a Senior Data Scientist within Data Commerce Solutions, you will design and develop products and solutions to drive innovation. You will leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning models in addition to other statistical techniques to target specific business objectives and create other business opportunities.
What you will do:
- Work on a wide range of use cases including but not limited to macroeconomic forecasting, predictive analytics, customer segmentation, fraud detection, recommendation engines, credit scoring and risk assessment.
- Support end-to-end data science project activities including requirement analysis, explorative data analysis, data wrangling, feature engineering, algorithm selection, model fitting/validation/verification, visualization, hyper parameter tuning, inference analysis, model deployment.
- Build, test, and deploy AI/ML/DL models and provide post deployment support including monitoring, troubleshooting, improving model efficiency, and scaling the solution.
- Utilize with several frameworks including Spark, sci-kit learn, Xgboost, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Pandas, PyArrow and other data science related tools, accelerators, and products and solutions that enhance data scientist’s work.
- Work in a highly collaborative team environment, and will collaborate with multiple stakeholders including business, product development, architecture, and engineering teams.
- Assist in managing the communication of insights and implementation of impactful data science solutions across the organization.
What you will need to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Economics or related field.
- 7+ years of experience working on end-to-end data science projects involving multiple use cases.
- Proficient in statistical data analysis and machine learning techniques (e.g., SVM, regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting).
- Familiarity with financial analytics, time series econometrics, payment processing and marketing strategies.
- Experience working with different algorithms using Python frameworks (e.g. PySpark, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Xgboost, H2O) and or R.
- Experience building, optimizing, and scaling NLP models that comb through copious amounts of data.
- Strong working knowledge of tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, SQL, and NoSQL Databases and visualization packages such as Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2 and/or D3 Java.
- Familiarity with data platforms and applications (e.g. Azure ML, Databricks ML, AWS Sage maker, IBM Watson), deploying, monitoring and maintaining ML/DL model pipelines (using Spark, Airflow, MLFlow) and leveraging Large Language Models/Generative AI capabilities by developing high-quality prompts and templates that guide the behavior and responses of LLM.
What would be great to have:
- A Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Economics or related field.
