Accounting Tech - MAHP

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:        

• Assist in setup of banking arrangements for flexible spending accounts and process flexible spending disbursements for employer groups.  Responsible for all accounting related to these transactions.
• Responsible for claim transactions and accounting for self-insured groups.  Filing annual Form 5500.
• Process invoices based on contracts with clients
• Calculate commissions for sales team
• Responsible for subrogation cases
• Maintain knowledge and provide backup coverage for MAHP Staff Accountant and MAHP Accounting Clerk.
• Complete all other assigned projects and duties. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience                         One to three years of similar or related experience. Education                          Equivalent to a two‑year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study or certification at a business or trade school.  Interpersonal Skills            Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.  Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
