Job Description

 

The Aladdin Client Business (ACB) is responsible for all client-facing engagements to retain and grow Aladdin's client community - ranging from sales, to the delivery of the platform, to the ongoing service,  support and management of the client experience. ACB partners closely across all Aladdin pillars including Wealth, Product and Data, as well as BlackRock to build deeper relationships with clients, centering on their investment technology and operational needs.

 

Role Description

 

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Associate excited to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment supporting the Global Head of the Aladdin Client Business. The candidate will partner with the Global Head of ACB Chief of Staff to provide strategic and operational support to the Global Head of ACB. Responsibilities will require preparation for internal and external meetings, prioritization of engagements, and project execution of strategic priorities - all on behalf of the Head of ACB.

 

Given the broad range of projects and collegial business culture, the candidate should feel comfortable working with teams and engaging across functional areas. The ideal candidate is resourceful, dynamic, and intellectually curious with strong problem-solving, communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple deliverables across a variety of topics.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct support for the Global Head of ACB and the Chief of Staff to ACB on internal and external meeting preparation, and strategic project execution
  • Assist in managing operations that support the Global Head of ACB, including managing preparation and follow-ups from internal / external meetings (e.g., all hands, leadership summits), drafting C-level presentations, talking points, and briefing memos for external and internal conferences/meetings
  • Developing and managing the engagement briefing process, including partnering with Aladdin senior leadership and staff, client teams, product teams, and other internal stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities and track follow-up items
  • Assist in execution of execution of special projects initiated by the Global Head of ACB inclusive of client and business growth strategy, and organizational strategy

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in asset management or financial services with a record of outstanding achievements
  • Has a self-starter, ambitious spirit and is able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to organize and coordinate project execution, drive problem solving and content development with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear messages for senior audiences
  • Ability to effectively build relationships across an organization and influence stakeholders; results oriented and able to “roll-up the sleeves” to accomplish necessary tasks
  • Fluency in Standard MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professional discretion, integrity, and discernment, along with a strong work ethic
  • BS/BA or higher in Economics or Finance or related field


 

For NY7 - 50 Hudson Yards, New York Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$137,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
