JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role assists with month-end close, audit preparation, and ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The Staff Accountant collaborates with various departments to provide financial data and maintain accurate records aligned with GAAP and company procedures.

  • Prepare and post journal entries for recurring and adjusting transactions.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, accruals, and intercompany balances.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Review and analyze financial information to identify trends, discrepancies, or issues.
  • Prepare reports for management and auditors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with sales/use tax filings and other financial regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with property tax filings.
  • Support the Controller with internal and external audit requests.
  • Provide backup support for AP and AR processes as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
