Position Summary:

A Brief Overview What you will do:
 

• Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move and position the items onto the Trailer.
• Inspects for damages, defects, or any other issues that could impact the quality of the products and reports any quality concerns to supervisors or appropriate personnel to ensure that only high-quality goods are loaded for delivery.
• Arrange load onto trailer or other transportation vehicles securely and efficiently.
• Arranges load requirements to maximize trailer use and minimize imbalance, unnecessary movement,
• and damage.
• Conducts preliminary safety checks of equipment, checks orders, and verifies trailer size and number.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following safety guidelines.
• Wrap or secure items to prevent damage during transport.
• Contributes to maintaining accurate inventory records and helps to track stock levels, monitor product availability, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Ensures that the correct products, quantities, and specifications match the order requirements which involves checking labels, SKU numbers, and other identifying information to avoid any discrepancies.
• Determines that the weight distribution on the truck is balanced to maintain stability and prevent accidents during transportation.
• Coordinates with warehouse personnel, drivers, or other loaders to ensure smooth loading operations.
• Understand Basic Cross dock functions such as Unload product from incoming trucks, trailer, or containers efficiently, inspect shipment for damages and accuracy, and identify and separate product by destination.
• Understand Basic Consolidation function such as determine the most efficient way to stack items to maximize pallet capacity, use stacking techniques that ensure stability and prevent product damage, and ensures pallet security with tape and shrink wrap.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time.
• Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.).
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail for load accuracy
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally (courteous and cordial).
• Basic computer skills
• Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills.
