Position Description: The Senior Software Development Manager is a key position tasked with directing day-to-day activities within the KPA’s software development function. This teamis responsible for research, development, testing, and deployment of the KPA EHS Software platform – a highly configurable Environmental, Health, and Safety Software. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide a talented teamand contribute to significant growth of KPA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the work of a team responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining KPA’s Software as a Service platforms (both web and mobile applications).  
  • Works to establish functional requirements and reviews solutions to ensure organizational needs are met.  
  • Works in conjunction with the Product Management team to develop short- and long-term product roadmaps to ensure continuous improvement of the software. 
  • Manage team members’ growth, deliver feedback and direction, and provide opportunities that fit their career path and professional interests. 
  • Be the liaison between the development team and leadership, understanding how to distill organizational goals into tactical execution. 
  • Work across departments such as Client Success and Product and ensure strong collaboration. 
  • Manage tasks and projects by planning, prioritizing, tracking, and communicating with key stakeholders. 

Knowledge, Experience, Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of software development principles and best-practices. Ideal experience includes working in a B2B SaaS environment.   
  • Prior Management experience within a professional software development team. 
  • Experience administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.  
  • Ability to identifyinefficiencies in processes and implement solutions. 
  • Previous senior level software development and architectural responsibilities for a SaaS platform. 
  • Knowledge of technical environment which includes technologies similar to Vue, .Net, SQLServer, and Mongo. 
  • 6-10+ years of progressive software development experience
  • 5+ years of progressive technical organizational leadership, preferably in high growth business environments.

  • Executes strategic plans set at functional level to deliver tactical results.  
  • Ability to drive an “on time, every time” engineering organization which is focused on KPA’s client’s success.

Compensation:

  • Annual base salary range starting at 140k+
  • Bonus potential of 15% annually
