Intern - Interpreter and Translator

Job Description

As part of the Player Development department, this position will assist Mandarin-speaking baseball players in interpreting, translating, and gaining English literacy comprehension and literacy skills to support a successful baseball career

 

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as Mandarin language translator for minor league players throughout the year.
• Interpret for players during team meetings and workshops.
• Translate necessary documents that are being shared with minor league players.
• Facilitate effective communication between players, player development and High Performance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual Mandarin (read/write) required.
