Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.As a Supplier Quality Engineer Intern, you will support the Strategic Supplier Quality team in evaluating and improving supplier performance. You’ll gain hands-on experience with quality complaint management, 8-D root cause analysis, and problem solving complex technical issues within various manufacturing processes. You will also collaborate with other cross functional teams including Purchasing, Engineering, and Assembly Operations while working on real-world projects that impact the production of industry-leading commercial powertrain.
Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

- Work with the supplier to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting customer existing or new requirements.
- Supports Supplier Quality Engineers with reviewing PPAP’s
- Review and audit the deliverables including: Control Plans, Capability plans, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Gage design, Gage R&R, PFEMA, DFMEA; and supports project management efforts regarding supplier changes.
- Directly contacts the supplier to coordinate reactive activities
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Strong problem solving skills
- Preferred knowledge in PowerBI system
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Creative mindset
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
