Account Manager- Energy Efficiency  

Location: Based out of Little Rock, Arkansas

    As an Energy Efficiency Account Manager, you will support utility residential programs, by being the primary contact for the network of contractors providing weatherization to utility customers.  This position works closely with the ICF implementation team, to ensure the contractor network delivers consistently quality installations with outstanding customer service.  The energy efficiency and demand response programs bring energy efficiency and bill savings to customers, including under-served and disadvantaged communities in the greater Little Rock and surrounding areas.      
     
    An Energy Efficiency Account Manager will gain exposure to various types of energy efficiency projects and typically provides account management, trade ally/service provider management, and other technical services for a utility energy efficiency program and their stakeholders. In this role, you would be responsible for training and ensuring the contractors deliver program services according to the Program guide.  In addition to contractor recruiting and training, this position will conduct market research and facilitate communications and coordination across a Residential Trade Ally/Contractor (TA) network throughout Arkansas.

What you will be doing: 

  • Primary program field contact for HVAC and weatherization contractors in the utility network. Actively strengthening relationships with routine communication and in-person visits.  
  • Involved in additional contractor recruiting efforts when needed. 
  • Travel extensively throughout Arkansas meeting with contractors who are working in the utility’s energy efficiency programs.  
  • Perform field QA/QC to validate technical project data as directed, ensuring compliance with requirements and process controls. 
  • Coach and train Trade Allies and internal support team members on best practices, audit resolutions, and technical subject matter 
  • Assist in ensuring that trade ally/contractor network is in compliance with all licensing, certifications, internal training requirements and other requirements that are required to actively participate in the programs. 
  • Oversee, distribute, and track any leads that are given to the trade ally/contractor network. 
  • Support the reporting team to assemble and provide reports, presentations and database management using many MS Office programs along with industry-specific software tools. 
  • Build and maintain in-person relationships with Arkansas trade allies, sub-contractors, and industry associations. There will also be opportunities to attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote and represent the program offerings 
  • Become knowledgeable about energy efficiency and obtain a BPI Certification.   
  • Stay informed on industry news, updates, and trends. 
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 50% to 60% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Energy Systems, Sustainability, or other related field (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 5+ years of related work experience in residential construction, energy efficiency, sustainability, energy industry or related field. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

     
What would be useful: 

  • Experience and knowledge of residential energy efficiency in Arkansas 
  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally/service provider network 
  • Certified Energy Manager or BPI credentials 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
