Directly oversees facilities staff and assists them in performing their duties, to ensure the efficient operation and timely maintenance of all heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment used in the daily operation of the various businesses. Ensures that the properties are clean and safe at all times. Conducts safety training as needed. Monitors equipment functioning.
· Schedules and delegates work to staff the department during an assigned shift. Provides guidance and direction to the staff and provides on the job training for team members.
· Makes recommendations to the next level of management regarding hiring. Provides input for performance evaluations.
· Oversees or performs plumbing repairs and replacement of facets and drains. HVAC tasks including, tightening of belts, inspection of pulleys and troubleshooting of equipment. Assists with preparation of special events.
· Carpentry including patching, building and repair of structural damage. Painting interior/exterior of the buildings.
· Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
· Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
Requirements
· 4 to 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
· Vocational or Technical training from a certified school, or equivalent experience required.
· Must be skilled in electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
· Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer relation skills.
· Excellent service approach when dealing with customers/tenants.
· Analytical/mathematical skills essential.
· Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
· Must be computer literate.
· Must have or be able to obtain certificates or licenses for specialty trades.
· Valid Oregon driver’s license and driving history, acceptable to allow operation of departmental equipment.
· Ability to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
