Vice President/Senior Vice President - Portfolio Manager, Specialized Banking

Our client, a leading Midwest-based regional bank with approximately $40B in assets, is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join their Specialized Banking team in Chicago, Illinois.

Role Overview

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing complex credit relationships, focusing on specialized sectors including power and utilities and other targeted industries. This position offers an opportunity to work with sophisticated credit structures while managing relationships with key institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze complex credit relationships within the specialized banking portfolio
• Structure and underwrite complex credit facilities
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and risk assessment
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with credit policies
• Provide strategic recommendations for portfolio optimization

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant banking experience, with a strong focus on credit analysis and portfolio management
• Demonstrated experience in specialized banking sectors, particularly data centers
• Strong understanding of complex credit structures and risk assessment
• Excellence in financial analysis and credit underwriting
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred
• Strong communication and relationship management skills

Compensation

• Competitive base salary range of $150,000 - $200,000
