WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Complete routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash bins, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, and restocking bathroom supplies.
  • Maintain YFA owned facilities in accordance with agency standards.
  • Ensure YFA grounds are well maintained, professional in appearance, and that potential safety issues are addressed. 
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated office areas. 
  • Dust all surfaces including desks, furniture, and light fixtures. 
  • Wipe down countertops, door handles, and other high-touch areas with disinfectants. 
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners. 
  • Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, mirrors, and stalls. 
  • Stock bathroom supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. 
  • Clean and polish shared spaces like conference rooms, break areas, and reception areas. 
  • Clean and maintain kitchen appliances and surfaces. 
  • Clean interior windows as needed. 
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock levels to supervisor. 
  • Complete paperwork timely and maintain documentation as needed.
  • Purchase items that are necessary to complete maintenance tasks and process payment as required. 
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including gloves, and masks when needed. 
  • Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hazard Communication (HazCom) standards, including reading and following Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Follow all (OSHA) regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment. 
  • Perform other appropriately related tasks as requested.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED:


Education and Experience: 

High School diploma or equivalent. High School diploma or equivalent.  Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ direct work experience with adolescents preferred. Work experience in a residential setting plus a Florida driver’s license with a clean DMV record.


Preferred knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed principles and practices, including the importance of creating a safe environment, fostering trust, promoting collaboration, and empowering individuals.


Ability to manage personal reactions to traumatic stories and situations and communicate a sense of trust and safety. Ability to understand and empathize with individuals, recognizing the impact of trauma on emotions, relationships, and overall well-being.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Plan a continual work schedule to maintain designated properties.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
  • General knowledge of various types of equipment.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability to arrive/report to work on time and ready to work.
