Junior Data Analyst

TechOp Solutions International, a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in the Defense & Space industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our team. With over a decade of experience in providing operational and technological solutions to Federal, state, local, and private/commercial organizations, TechOp is at the forefront of preparing for and responding to security threats, including natural and manmade disasters.

The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for assisting in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide insights for DHS. The analyst will have opportunities to learn and grow in skills and scope while working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inputting and updating data within internal databases and systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy.
• Apply statistical methods to analyze data.
• Identify patterns and trends in data sets.
• Responsible for creating regular and ad-hoc reports based on requirements.
• Work with senior members to align with stakeholder reporting needs.
• Ability to create basic visuals, including graphs, charts, and dashboards.
• Work with limited supervision to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project goals.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge or keen interest in data analysis.
• Moderate to advanced use of Excel.
• Willingness to learn and improve data interpretation skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• BA/BS or High School Diploma with 2 years of professional experience
• Ability to meet all security requirements

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience applying statistical methods or identifying patterns/trends in data sets.
• Some professional experience in data visualization or analysis.
• Use of Tableau and or Power BI
