If yes, then you might be the Software Developer/Senior Software Developer to join our IoT Cloud Platform team in KONE R&D.

KONE IoT Cloud Platform is at the forefront of managing devices and their connectivity in the cloud. The platform acts as a critical enabler of a host of functionalities across our ecosystem of tribes and value added domains.

KONE’s biggest R&D globally is in Hyvinkää, Finland. We offer flexible working time, remote working opportunities and we also support commuting to work. You can also work from our Espoo office if that's more convenient for you.

In this role you will be responsible for designing and building cloud-based solutions, enabling fast and efficient methods to maintain a device remotely and allowing predictive maintenance with the latest technologies and AWS as cloud provider.

You are a developer having experience with web technologies JS frameworks like React & backend development in Node.js. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced, customer centric and dynamic environment and enable us to deliver and improve on the product quickly.

We work in accordance with agile principles, this means that your day-to-day work will also consist of participating in sprint planning, daily scrums and retros. You will work with automating the software delivery lifecycle utilizing DevOps practices. The service development is done in an agile and lean way in cross-functional end-to-end teams that are responsible for delivering solutions for certain customer value.

Responsibilities

• Development of Web components using JS Framework technologies like React

• Development of Cloud backend using AWS serverless technologies.

• Development of UI responsive designs

• Working closely with Product Owner and feature teams to design and develop new features, unit and integration testing

• Participating in knowledge sharing and demos

In order to be successful in this role, you’d have

• Experience with JS framework technologies like Vue, React or Angular

• Strong programming experience (TypeScript / Java)

• Experience on working with AWS platform (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation, SQS, CDK development) is an advantage

• Knowledge of messaging solutions (Kafka or similar)

• Database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL)

• Experience with some responsive design frameworks and technologies: SCSS, SASS, CSS, Bootstrap, etc.
