The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.
How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Diagnose and repair production equipment utilizing skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, electricity, compressors and ovens.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment.
- Perform equipment teardowns & rebuilds.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment electrical controls.
- Run electrical conduit and wiring.
- Fabricate and weld miscellaneous fabrication projects.
- Replace faulty electrical components on machines such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices.
- Operate any equipment in connection with maintenance work.
- Communicate with all levels of production employees.
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
Required Experience
- One to three months related experience and/or training
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Completed courses at an accredited technical school for: Maintenance Electricity (3 terms), Hydraulics (2 terms), Pipefitting (2 terms), Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (1 term), Electric Arc Welding (1 term).
