Job Details
Performs and coordinates all technical operations involving the neurophysiology monitoring equipment in the long term monitoring unit for epilepsy. Provides care that is appropriate to the specific chronological age, developmental age, social maturity, and cultural background of the patient(s) being treated or serviced.Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Perform all duties of the long-term monitoring in the long-term monitoring center, intensive care unit, or operating room, reviews and prepares computer-detected EEG data for physician interpretation.
- Coordinates own daily workflow according to clinical urgency, maintains equipment and supply inventory for long-term monitoring unit.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
Educational / Training Requirements:
- High school graduate
- Graduate of an END technology educational program which has been recognized by an accredited agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education preferred.
- At least two years of college is preferred with an emphasis on the sciences.
Licensing Requirements:
- EEG (R. EEG T.)
- Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.)
- CNIM (ABRET)
