Maintenance Manager

Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of skilled trades.  They will supervise all of the exempt supervisors, and through them, supervisors and maintenance workers in more than one department, on more than one shift, and in more than one plant area.  They will be responsible to direct and coordinate activities in one or more of the following: facilities, machine shop, tool and die making, maintenance, machine / equipment installation and mold making / repair.

Job Duties

• Will be responsible for all aspects of skilled trades.
• Supervise all of the exempt supervisors, and through them, supervisors and maintenance workers in more than one department, on more than one shift, and in more than one plant area.
• Responsible to direct and coordinate activities in one or more of the following: facilities, machine shop, tool and die making, maintenance, machine / equipment installation and mold making / repair.
• Provides responsible leadership for Skilled Trades Section Manager, Team Leader and Associates in order to facilitate participation in decision making and development of individual skills and abilities.
• Develops department operation and expense budget.
• Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Oversees training of Section Managers, Team Leaders, and Skilled Trades Associates in safe and proper operation of all equipment, machinery and tools.
• Planning and scheduling of major renovations including installation of new machinery and relocation of existing machinery for the betterment of the company.
• If applicable, loads, unloads or handles hazmat materials.
• If applicable, the Associate is responsible for conducting his/her job in a manner that ensures compliance to Part 111 of 1994 P.A. 451,, RCRA and DOT.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• +12 years related experience and/or +4 years supervisory experienced preferred.
