Department Overview

The company’s Service Planning and Design organization (SP&D) supports the business vision by delivering customers safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal requirements,  SP&D supports both gas and electric operations through its customer project management, design and estimating functions, clerical support, strategy and support teams.

 

Position Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations.  Ensures program is operating effectively. Deliver enterprise-level forecasting and analysis that provides business insight, drives informed decision making, solves gaps in performance and establishes clear expectations for near and long-term financial performance for the New Business program. Primary responsibilities of the include developing the annual financial forecast and comparing actual results against plan, developing the multi-year financial outlook to establish and articulate long-term financial objectives, and creating program-level financial catch back plans. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives-

•           Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s)

•           Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts. Conduct financial analysis on an ad hoc basis. Provide decision support to senior management and lines of business in preparing financial forecasts, analysis of specific investment proposals, or regulatory support

•           Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program  

•           Lead problem solving sessions with cross-functional partners to close program financial gaps

•           Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners

•           Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.

•           Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E    

•           Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures

•           Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels 

 

Position will require up to approximately 15% of travel time in work schedule.

 

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.
