- Position Summary
- Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position available in Mail Services.
- Start Date
- Position available on or after March 9, 2026 and ending on or before May 22, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:- Assist with sorting, pick-up and delivering mail and incoming parcels
- Assist with processing mail on electronic metered postage mail machine
- Assist with data entry for billing into Mail Services Database
- Assist with bulk mail, presorting mail
- Assist at Customer Service Front Counter selling postage, processing personal packages
- Assist with processing UPS Overnight, 2nd day and ground packages
- Assist with processing department quotes for presorting, inserting, folding
- Assist with picking up Record Boxes
- Assist with Surplus Property
- Assist with Shredding Services Program
- Assist in Print Shop, Copy Program, Receiving and Property Control as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent Customer Service skills and verbal communication
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment, ability to multi-task
- Basic Computer skills on both PC and Mac
Required Qualifications:- Must have a valid California Driver’s License
- Required to lift up to 50lbs
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Salary Range
- $16.90 per hour.
