About the Position

Foursquare is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in New York City; on a hybrid schedule of T,W,TH in office.

Foursquare’s Accounting team partners with stakeholders across the organization, providing operational and analytical support to ensure Foursquare’s business continues its efficient growth.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented staff accountant to join our Accounting team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to play a key part in an evolving accounting landscape. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of how accounting principles are applied to a SaaS business, and a passion for ensuring accurate financial reporting through our systems.

In this role, you’ll

• Prepare, review, and process journal entries, reconcile accounts, maintain the general ledger, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Oversee the processing of employee expense procedures, programs, reports and reimbursements
• Analyze, Prepare and Reconcile AP Detail, GL Postings, accounts payable reports, including aging reports, accrual reports, and other financial statements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and system upgrades, including assisting in the development and automation of financial reporting systems.
• Support audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and collaborating with external auditors.
• Ensure accounting procedures and systems are efficient, accurate, and compliant with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

What you’ll need

• 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar role or similar working experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and Netsuite
• Experience with Floqast, Ramp, and Google Workspace a plus
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
• CPA Certified or seeking CPA Certification

At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.  Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

The annual total cash compensation range is $65,000-$80,000, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location. 

Salary is just one component of Foursquare’s total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits!
