Urology Clinics of North Texas, P.A. was formed in 1999 by a merger of the practices of premier urology groups. This is a great position for those who are pre-med/nursing/PA/NP students in a gap year who are passionate about healthcare and want to gain medical office experience. It is preferable that candidate can devote at least one year to this job.
Job Duties:
- Work alongside medical provider in outpatient clinics, inputting information into patients medical charts in real time
- Perform many advanced workflow duties that relieve the burdens of paperwork and documentation
- Enter the patient’s room with the provider to document the subjective and objective portions of the chart, all treatment and follow up care directly into the electronic medical record
Scribes will be responsible for recording patient information in the proper HPI format, from medical history and chief complaints to consultations.
Additional duties include proper verbatim, documentation of physical examinations, and test results, including imaging and labs (PSA and Cr etc.) Accurately noting follow up care and recommendations.

Position Requirements
As an outpatient clinic Scribe you must have strong writing skills, be an active listener and possess the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment. Proficiency on a PC is a must. Be a team player with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, high level of maturity, discretion and utmost professionalism.
Scribing is for highly motivated and driven individuals on a pre health career track including MD/DO, PA, NP who are at least 18 years old. Some prior clinical experience is preferred however not required.
Must be proficient in English: fluency in secondary languages is a plus.
Medical Terminology and prior knowledge of any EMR is a plus
Part-Time schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30-5:00 and Friday 1:00-5:00
with alternating weeks:
Monday, Thursday 8:30-5: 00 and Tuesday, Friday 1:00-5:00
