Job Description

Reporting to the North America Regional Risk Officer, the Director of Risk Operations, Strategy and System Integrity Programs will play a vital role in overseeing the execution of the North America risk strategy, collaborating with Risk leaders and influencing other cross-functional key leaders at Visa.

This role will sit on the North America Risk Leadership Team and work closely with the team to drive forward strategic projects and help manage key Visa initiatives. This role will also lead the implementation and management of several internal and external projects and play a vital role to facilitate internal deliverables including the oversight of critical network integrity programs across Visa’s clients. This individual will have people leadership and management responsibility for a team of managers and senior managers responsible for running Visa’s Enterprise System Integrity programs.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual, able to complete detailed analysis and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data. This role will also require the intellectual rigor and business acumen to handle complex situations and information. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of the payments industry, expected to be a strong team player with the ability to organize and mobilize his/her direct team and partner effectively with internal partners and external stakeholders.

Essentia Functions

• Lead strategic initiatives and operational projects and partner with global risk strategy and operations team to identify and execute North America level business priorities (i.e.: implementing “state of the art” fraud tools, applying sophisticated identity algorithms, modernizing risk control environments.)
• Lead and manage a three-person team responsible for the optimization, execution, and delivery of North America’s Enterprise System Integrity Programs.
• Champion best practices around integrity programs and ensure they deliver data collection, analysis and effective client remediation plans.
• Represent the North American Business through the transformation of Visa Integrity Risk Programs, ensuring alignment to the other business operations and functions.  Including resource management, weekly billing and appeals process.
• Responsible for managing Bi-weekly leadership, monthly all staff, Quarterly Business Review, Quarterly Regional Risk Committee and monthly meetings with Payment Fraud Disruption (PFD) and North America Product.
• Key contributor to the content, planning, scheduling, coordination, and logistics of Visa’s Risk Executive Council.
• Drive Bi-weekly business updates to Global Risk and North America leadership teams.
• High level dashboard review of North America performance metrics to track KPIs, KRIs against goals and scorecards.
• Review monthly actuals and provide latest outlook to Finance Business Partners.
• Develop frameworks and approaches for high level fraud and auth data analysis; partner with the Risk Analytics team for more granular level or adhoc data requests
• Partner with US business stakeholders to update US Top Risk report and drive the Global Risk Operations (GoRO) reporting platform migration efforts in coordination with the Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.
• Actively engage Global Risk partners to update scorecard and submit to North America Ops for consolidation.
• Keep track of North America related NBIA (New Business Initiative Assessment), share monthly summary with the team, and identify risk and/or provide feedback from Risk SME’s perspective. 
• Monitor North America RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) status via weekly report or GoRO.
• Work with global risk partners and business leaders to complete annual Business Continuity Planning exercises.
