Role: As a Lead Engineer, you play a pivotal role within the engineering department, assuming a multifaceted set of responsibilities to drive project success and enhance client relationships. Your key duties include defining technical proposals, leading client communication, managing client relationships, and ensuring the technical integrity of projects. You guide the architectural direction, oversee documentation, and provide vital technical support to the team, both as a leader and a substitute when necessary.

Your role extends to project visibility, allocation decisions, and the continuous improvement of engineering processes. In addition, you take the lead in resolving team issues and removing project roadblocks to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Your expertise and leadership are critical to the success of the projects you oversee.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Definition and assistance of business team in crafting technical proposals and defining the necessary resources.
• Creation of initial client communications (via email, Slack, etc.) and establishing the communication flow between the client and the tech team.
• Maintain and enhance client relationships in projects under your responsibility.
• Definition of systems and application architecture, ensuring that the projects under your responsibility gather and work on all technical requirements (non-functional requirements, architecture, way of working, necessary documentation). Ensure that both Engineers and the Product or Project Managers have a well-structured view of the problem at the project's outset.
• Provide technical support and ensuring technical coverage for projects, especially when the team is overloaded or unexpected issues arise. Help the team to improve technically, follow best practices, enhance communication, and foster cooperation is a consistent requirement across different projects
• Report incidents and risks in projects under your responsibility. Convey this visibility to other members of the engineering department for quick decision-making in cases that require special attention, be it due to issues with the team or the client.
• Ownership of project allocation decisions based on the needs and engineers skills, deliberating, in collaboration with other members of the engineering department.
• Improvement of the engineering processes alongside other members of the engineering department, for enhancing onboarding processes, project management, visibility sharing, etc.ensuring that the work methods remain consistent across projects.
• Conflicts and issues handling ensuring that the team's problems or blockers are resolved and providing the necessary support to make this happen.
