Solipsys is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX and is currently seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Java to join our diverse team who is talented, highly motivated, has a passion for finding innovative solutions to problems, and committed to quality. Solipsys is an industry leader in the development of command and control software systems and operates in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced business environment with both commercial and Government customers, including a mix of domestic and international pursuits and programs.
What You Will Do
- Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment using JAVA.
- Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control Systems (C2)
- Work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Experience in software development using core Java.
- Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval. Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented paradigms and multithreaded systems.
- Ability to engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees.
- Opportunities for travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support.
- Ability to react to change, handle tasks productively, & achieve results in a matrix environment
- Experience with Container Orchestration implementation such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
