Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Bennettsville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a food and beverage production location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist in controlling access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or leaving the premises.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the facility.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and maintaining professionalism.
• Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any suspicious activity or potential concerns specific to a food and beverage environment.
• Adhere to site-specific policies and procedures related to security-related matters and emergency response.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the location.
• Collaborate with team members and site management to support a secure and orderly environment tailored to the needs of a food and beverage facility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
