Based in Manila and reporting to the Senior Manager, GSSC Audit and Operations, this role will be responsible for ensuring all assigned reviews are carried out in a professional, timely and consistent manner while actively supervising GIA staff, when applicable.
Leads and executes audits that identify and analyses risks to the business, recommends improvements to the control environment and monitors resulting management action plans

Help to ensure significant risks of the business are being adequately and appropriately mitigated by management and to provide value to the business through effective and efficient audit recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge

•Strong understanding of risk and internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions. •Understanding of internal auditing standards, governance frameworks and risk assessment practices. •Understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting. •Prior industry experience in financial services / insurance

Skills

•Ability to work independently, with limited direction and guidance, and provide appropriate coaching to other internal audit team members. •Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management. •Ability to persuade others, sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change. •Well developed analytical and problem solving skills•Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members.•Adaptable to change and able to work in a high changing environment.•Advanced use of desktop applications, including data analysis tools

Experience

•Must be a graduate of Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant•At least 5-6 years experience in a similar role•Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, commerce or equivalent•Post graduate accounting qualification
