Position Summary

The Barback is a critical support role on our bar team, ensuring bartenders have everything they need to provide seamless and efficient service. As a Barback, you will be responsible for maintaining stock, cleanliness, and organization behind the bar while upholding the high standards of The Alston Steakhouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware throughout service

• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times

• Collect and clean used glassware, bar tools, and surfaces during and after shifts

• Prepare garnishes and bar prep items as directed by the bartender or manager

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs

• Take out trash and recycling as needed

• Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines according to health code standards

• Provide exceptional support with a team-first attitude

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

• Must be at least 21 years of age (per local alcohol regulations)

• Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented

• Strong communication skills and a sense of urgency

• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
