Where We Need You

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Consulting Director to join our growing Aerospace, Defense & Federal Artificial Intelligence team.

What You Can Expect

As an Aerospace and Defense Artificial Intelligence Director, you'll take a lead role in continuing growth of our AI-ML practice area, strengthening our relationships with clients, and providing strategic guidance and leadership to deliver transformational AI-ML solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the Aerospace and Defense sector. You'll partner with key clients to re-imagine the possible through pragmatic use of AI-ML technology, ensuring compliance with strict government regulations such as FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and DCAA requirements. You'll develop strategies to solve complex business problems using new ways of thinking, and devise solutions to support your clients' needs through analytics, machine learning, automation, and the latest AI tools and methods.

You'll also leverage your knowledge of security clearance protocols and public trust requirements to deliver solutions that meet stringent safety and operational standards. You'll develop new project approaches, help identify new business, and build lasting relationships with clients and within the community as you serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also be a mentor and provide growth and development to teams as you oversee the successful completion of project work plans.

What Will Help You Be Successful

• Industry Expertise: Proven market credibility and a robust network within the Aerospace and Defense sectors.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive experience navigating government procurement processes and regulations, including FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and DCAA requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Experience leading teams to develop cutting-edge AI models and solutions that deliver valuable, measurable business outcomes while adhering to industry-specific compliance and risk management standards.
• Innovation and Strategy: Championing innovation and continuously exploring advancements in AI technologies, including systems integration, aerospace engineering principles, and defense technology innovations.
• Client Relationship Management: Building trusted relationships with C-level executives and providing exceptional experiences that translate to additional project work.
• Project Management Expertise: Proven track record of successful project management within the Aerospace and Defense industry, overseeing large-scale projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to operational, governmental, and safety regulations.
• Team Leadership: Supervisory and development experience of teams, including mentoring, coaching, conducting performance appraisals, and oversight of work.
• Business Development: Successfully pursuing business development opportunities and identifying strategies to obtain new work or clients.
• Communication Skills: Ability to translate and communicate AI-related issues, risks, or challenges to clients, including executives.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent preferred); Master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years working in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry.
• Professional Certifications such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer, or similar strongly preferred.
• Security clearance preferred.
