Coalition Leader

POSITION SUMMARY: The Coalition Leader ensures clear communication between the sector represented and the coalition. They act as a positive role model for youth, families, and peers and support the coalition’s mission.  The leader will coordinate the coalition meetings on a monthly basis and participate in sub-committees. They will attend coalition sponsored trainings, meetings and community events. They will contribute to the SPF process and in participating in sustaining the coalition’s capacity, involvement, goals, and preventing youth substance use through environmental strategies.

Accountable and responsible for the following results: 

• Respect the rights of coalition members to hold their own opinions and beliefs.
• Work collaboratively with Coalition Coordinator.
• Coordinate coalition meetings, initiatives, and strategies.
• Increase new membership of the coalition. 
• Engage and outreach community partners to participate in coalition activities.
• Record and maintain minutes and all other documentation of meetings and activities.
• Coordinate volunteers and sector partners for events and prevention initiative.
• Represent the coalition at local meetings.
• Coordinate the implementation and delivery of all required documents, program surveys and other required materials as deemed necessary.
• Compile data and monthly reports describing coalition efforts, initiatives and outreach.
• Flexible hours and have evening and weekend availability
