About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) for our Milan-area data centers. This role leads physical security operations across multiple sites, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager. <br/><br/>Key aspects of the role include:<br/>• Managing day-to-day physical security operations<br/>• Maintaining site security posture<br/>• Overseeing security guard force vendors<br/>• Ensuring compliance with AWS security standards<br/><br/>We maintain the foundation of AWS cloud services, ensuring continuous availability of computing resources for our customers worldwide.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will combine security operations expertise with strong leadership abilities. We offer comprehensive professional development opportunities and the chance to shape the security of one of the world's largest cloud providers.<br/><br/><br/>Key job responsibilities<br/>Security Operations Management<br/>• Manage on-site physical security operations for Data Centers<br/>• Oversee access control systems, guard force operations, and vendor contracts<br/>• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident reporting<br/>• Generate and analyze security metrics<br/>• Implement and maintain CCTV monitoring systems and media security protocols<br/>• Ensure protection of customer data through robust security measures<br/><br/>Process and Policy Management<br/>• Implement new security processes while maintaining compliance with Amazon policies<br/>• Develop and execute security plans for special events<br/>• Create evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols<br/>• Establish benchmarks for security performance<br/>• Design customized policies to meet internal and external regulations<br/><br/>Relationship Management<br/>• Build and maintain partnerships with internal teams (DC Engineering, DC Operations)<br/>• Coordinate with external partners (Vendors, Emergency Services)<br/>• Supervise security contractors and monitor their performance<br/>• Collaborate with global security teams<br/><br/>Project Management<br/>• Deliver security projects within specified timelines and budgets<br/>• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders<br/>• Identify and address safety and security deficiencies<br/>• Conduct data analysis to support risk assessments<br/>• Travel to other geographic regions as required<br/><br/>
