Description

General Position Overview

Responsibility to oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations, specifically focusing on electronics assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and final assembly processes. Responsible for operations management, demonstrating leadership in process improvement, team management, and strategic decision making.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee the review and reporting of daily production metrics related to scrap, productivity, quality, safety, backorder, fill rate, etc.
  • Interact with other departments to communicate and acquire the needs and requirements for manufacturing to meet required daily metrics.
  • Oversee the execution and effectiveness of the daily production schedule
  • Use reporting systems to prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and improvement projects and savings goals
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality standards using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of professionals across electronics assembly, SMT, and final assembly departments.
  • Oversee quality control measures to uphold product integrity and meet regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all manufacturing operations. 
  • Help create a pro-active culture of change by promoting, teaching, and listening to improvement needed by engaging all levels of employees in the business.
  • Develop personnel to ensure each employee is capable of performing all aspects of their job responsibility
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field. Equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of operations experience required.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing large teams and driving organizational change.
  • In-depth understanding of electronics assembly, SMT processes, and final assembly operations preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and implement effective strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with senior management. 
  • Experience with advanced problem solving and change management methodologies consistent with establishing a culture of CI
  • Experience leading and managing groups of over 100 employees
  • Project Management skills to effectively manage resources to complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven technical ability to analyze technical data, challenge ideas and offer alternative solutions
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong drive and a sense of urgency to resolve issues
  • Flexible and adaptable to make effective decisions and maintain effectiveness under changing circumstances and priorities
  • Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems

Working Conditions

  • Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment 
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
  • Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
  • May work remotely
  • Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
