Field Security Technician

This job will require local traveling in the DC/VA/MD area

Duties

• Conducting system status checks and reporting for Electronic Security Systems
• Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining Electronic Security Systems such as Intrusion Detection Systems, Video Management Systems to include digital cameras, Programmable Logic Controllers, Card Readers and multiple sensor types for lab testing and accreditation
• Coordinating with external Subject Matter Experts (SME) for system preparation of test activities
• Provide support for cybersecurity testing and mitigation requirements
• Setting up for test events, to include conducting and reporting on all pre-test activities
• Identifying and executing all preventive maintenance and sustainment tasks for all lab systems
• Maintaining and tracking lab system, asset, and tool inventories

Requirements

• Active Security clearance is preferred, not required.
• Has experience installing and programing various security systems.
• The ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Ability to read/follow complex technical drawings for system installation
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Disciplined time management and proactive initiative.
