About the role

The Associate Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) In Training observes and participates in a variety of clinical experiences to assist in providing patient care in an assigned clinical setting and perform related duties as assigned. This position is for currently enrolled Medical Assistant students in an accredited program.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Within 60 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Registration 
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months Healthcare Experience

Program Details:

  • Partners with Stepful which is a federally accredited program.
  • Meets the minimum requirements for students to sit for the NHA exam.
  • Trains students in the specific skills required to achieve the MA-C credential, as outlined in RCW Chapter 18.360 and WAC 246-827 through the WA Department of Health.
  • Covers the cost of the first attempt at the NHA exam.
  • Had a 100% success and hire rate for the most recent graduating Cohort with Providence, demonstrating strong outcomes and career placement.

 

 Trainees Expectations:

  • Complete a minimum of 720 hours of paid on-the-job training, supported by a dedicated one-on-one Medical Assistant (MA) coach.
  • Complete 17 weeks of unpaid online coursework through Stepful, covering essential didactic content.
  • Attend in-person bring back courses led by our Ambulatory Clinical Education team to practice and demonstrate mastery of hands-on technical skills.
  • Log and report on-the-job hours and skill practices as required for program completion.
  • Sign the Education Loan Program agreement for program students prior to enrollment.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
