Job Description

Assists with education of medical students and health professionals of all colleges and departments by portraying cases accurately, completing checklists and providing verbal or written feedback to learners. Supports the teaching, assessment and evaluation of the curriculum as defined by the faculty and SP Educators.  Conducts quality assurance of other standardized patients.  Updates and enters data into the EMS SimulationIQ system. 

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

  • Participate in Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE’s), CS Skills Sessions and Clinical Skills Assessments.

  • Be available for student physicians, student nurses and learners from all health professions to perform physical exams and obtain histories.

  • Provide appropriate feedback (verbal or written) to the learners on clinical skills.

  • Assess the skills and communication abilities of the learners which includes entering data into the EMS SimulationIQ data management software.

Competencies:

N/A

Education:

High School Diploma preferred, not required.

AND

Experience:

Previous SP experience preferred, not required. Acting/Theater experience preferred, not required.
