π Key Responsibilities:
β¨ Patient Care:
- Collect clinical histories and assess patient readiness.
- Administer contrast media safely and accurately.
- Confirm patient ID, review image quality, and document procedures.
- Respond to emergencies and assist across imaging modalities.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the exam.
π οΈ Equipment Management:
- Operate radiographic equipment while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Clean, disinfect, and report any equipment issues promptly.
π£οΈ Communication & Education:
- Use AIDET to guide patient interactions and ease anxiety.
- Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly.
- Mentor new staff and complete required trainings on time.
π― Quality & Operations:
- Capture high-quality images and ensure proper transmission to PACS.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist with patient transport.
- Collaborate with team members and support department flow.
π Required Qualifications:
π Education:
βοΈ Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
π Certification & Licensure:
βοΈ ARRT Certification in Radiography required.
βοΈ BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
πΌ Experience:
βοΈ 2+ years of recent experience in a clinical radiology setting required.
π Skills & Superpowers:
βοΈ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
βοΈ Strong multitasking, organization, and time management.
βοΈ Able to work independently and adapt quickly.
βοΈ Patient-focused with top-tier customer service skills.
βοΈ In-depth knowledge of radiology, anatomy, positioning, and radiation safety.
