Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Reliability EngineerLocation: Petersburg, VASalary: $85K - $110KEmployment Type: Direct HireShift: 1st Shift
Are you ready to take on a hands-on role in driving mechanical maintenance and reliability projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies for critical equipment
• Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA)
• Utilize condition monitoring tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis
• Optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs to improve equipment reliability
• Support capital improvement projects and major equipment overhauls
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASTM, and other industry standards

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of maintenance reliability experience in heavy industrial, steel mill, or manufacturing environments
• 5+ years of maintenance experience
• Experience with CMMS systems, RCM, TPM, and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies
• Certification in reliability engineering (CMRP, CRE) is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills
