Clinic Receptionist II

Overview

The Sorenson Center for Clinical Excellence is seeking a part-time center receptionist.  The position will welcome and assist Sorenson Center clients within the Behavioral Health Clinic with a focus on the Psychology and Counseling service line. Receptionists are expected to assist the Client Care Representative with clinic responsibilities, operate the clinic without direct supervision, answer clinic related questions, provide proper paperwork to clients, take payments from clients, and maintain medical records. Positions start as soon as possible.

 

• Monday through Thursday, 4:30pm – 8:30pm each day
• Schedule may be subject to change.
• $13.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Communicate with a diverse client population about healthcare services, appointments, paperwork, and payments needed
• Check-in clients, take payments, and maintain electronic medical records
• Schedule appointments for clients
• Maintain HIPAA training and standards, including maintaining confidentiality of client information
• Reserve and print parking passes for clients
• Answer incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner
• Maintain safe and clean clinic and lobby areas
• Maintain and organize clinic supplies
• Contribute to a team effort by communicating actions, irregularities, and needs to the supervisor
• Help with ongoing Behavioral Health Clinic projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, independent worker
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience in a reception or customer service position (particularly in a healthcare setting)
• Undergraduate coursework in Human Development, Psychology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of HIPAA

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
