About the Facilities and Critical Systems Engineer Internship
If you are interested in pursuing a career in Facilities and Critical Systems Engineering at an investment firm, the 10-week Facilities and Critical Systems Engineer internship at Point72 will provide you with a valuable, hands-on experience. During the 10-week program, you will gain exposure to:
- Designing and implementing new facilities projects, including data center expansion/upgrades
- Supporting the assessment and mitigation of risks associated with critical systems
- Participating in emergency response and recovery activities related to facilities and critical systems
- Managing and maintaining critical systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
- Supporting the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
- Helping to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Assisting with procurement process as it relates to services required for maintaining and operating critical environments
- Liaising with various internal departments and external vendors/contractors/consultants we collaborate with regularly

What's required
- Must be able to work on-site as required, with potential occasional travel between our offices in New York City and Stamford, CT
- Expected bachelor’s degree in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
- Demonstration of previous course work in MIS systems
- Familiarity and/or ability to learn facilities related software programs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
