This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

    • Week Day

      • Monday – Thursday:  5:00 AM-3:30 PM

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect critical flight hardware for various spaceflight systems.

  • Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using multiple inspection methods seeking toward flawless product delivery.

  • Apply various NDT methods for inspection, including:

    • Radiography (RT) – film, digital, and computer radiography

    • Ultrasonic (UT)

    • Eddy Current (ET)

    • Shearography (ST)

    • Penetrant (PT) Preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must hold level II certification in Radiography, ultrasonic, eddy current, or shearography as well as dye penetrant

  • Provide previous OJT training and certification documentation

  • Confirmed skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed

  • Meet minimum Vision Requirements:
    1. Near Vision: Either 20/25 (Snellen) at 16" or Jaeger No. 1 at not less than 12”
    2. Color Perception: 14 Plate Ishihara Color Test with a minimum of 12 panels correctly identified.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level II X-ray certification in CR/DR method.

  • Level II or level III UT certification in immersion, TFM and phased array methods

  • Level II PT certification in dye penetrant methods

  • Experience in Eddy current (ET) a plus

  • Experience in Shearography (ST)

  • Experience in a production environment (preferably in aerospace)

  • Two- or four-year college degree in a technical field or equivalent

  • AWS-CWI or equivalent certification/experience in visual weld inspection
