The Dillard House, a Resort Farm is a new addition to the Legacy Ventures portfolio and will be an exciting adventure as we build on what the Dillard family has developed since 1917. This one-of-a-kind property is nestled in the picturesque Tennessee River Valley within a two-hour drive north of Atlanta in Rabun County. It will represent tradition with authentically sourced cuisine, numerous outdoor activities and outstanding southern charm and hospitality.
Summary: The resort grounds maintenance/landscaping staff play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of the resort’s outdoor areas, contributing to a positive guest experience and the overall success of the property. By ensuring the grounds are well-maintained and safe, you help create a welcoming environment that guests and staff can enjoy throughout the year.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Mow lawns, trim edges, prune shrubs and trees, and maintain flower beds and planters.
- Water plants, grass, and flowers as needed and adjust irrigation systems.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other lawn care chemicals under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Remove litter and debris from the grounds, parking areas, and walkways.
- Sweep or blow leaves, snow, or ice from pathways and parking lots.
- Perform regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, lubricated, and properly stored after each use.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the maintenance department.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.
- Follow resort policies and regulations related to grounds support activities, including environmental and health standards.
- Assist with snow removal during winter months, including shoveling snow from walkways and spreading ice melt.
- Prepare the grounds for seasonal events and activities, such as setting up outdoor furniture or decorations.
