About the role

Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for capital project financial evaluation, reporting, asset creation & maintenance in SAP, depreciation forecasting, and maintaining inventory control of fixed assets.

Role is responsible for all aspects of fixed asset accounting for up to 3 tissue manufacturing locations.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Generate and evaluate ROI financial metrics for capital projects to include net present value, discounted payback, and internal rate of return, serving as a business partner to other non-finance teams.
  • Responsible for all aspects of capital project accounting to include, but not limited to, project accounting in SAP, asset creation, asset disposals, cost segregation, and project communications to management and ownership.
  • Corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME). Evaluate practices across business units and apply best practices to procedure documentation. Resource to other financial team members.
  • Manage supplier tax exemptions and property tax preparations/filing.
  • Develop plans and provide leadership for annual fixed asset inventories.
  • Prepare quarterly depreciation forecasts and annual depreciation budget.
  • Prepare asset reporting information required by various governmental agencies.   
  • Assist with cost accounting, general ledger, and accounts payable activities as necessary.

Qualifications/ education and experience requirements:

(e.g. degrees, certificates of specific trainings)

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred, but not required.

Skill requirements:

(e.g., analytical, teamwork, problem solving, ability to use certain equipment, etc.)

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Hands on experience with SAP and Power BI a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Financial Analysis /Manufacturing Accounting
