Position Details 

  • Position Location: Irvine, CA 
  • Status: Non-exempt, Part-time, 20 Hours per Week. MUST work Saturdays 7am-4pm (Flexible Tue-Fri for rest of days.)
  • Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour 
  • Reporting To: Social Enterprise Director and Donation Center Team Lead 
  • Travel Requirements: 25% local travel by car, van, or truck 
  • Remote Work: This position is NOT eligible for remote work 

 

Position Overview 

At Working Wardrobes, we help individuals overcome barriers to gainful employment. As the Warehouse (Donation Center) Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing operations to meet the needs of our clients and retail stores. You will support daily functions, maintain operational processes, and oversee quality control. This position works closely with the Social Enterprise Director and Donation Center Team Lead, who will provide direction, leadership, and accountability for your performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Operational Management 

  • Coordinate daily operations to ensure timely and efficient management of clothing donations and inventory. 
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the Donation Center, including the lobby and storage areas. 
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain operational processes that align with organizational goals. 
  • Assist with retail store coverage on an as-needed basis to support operations across locations. 

Quality Control & Inventory 

  • Ensure high standards of quality control for all donations, aligning with the needs of the Career Success Center and retail stores. 
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and effective rotation of products. 
  • Handle the packing and logistics for transporting merchandise to stores and fundraising events. 

Volunteer Coordination 

  • Assist in coordination of volunteer activities, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. 
  • Capture names and photos of individual volunteers and CSR groups for the Marketing Department. 
  • Assist with training and mentoring volunteers to ensure high engagement and productivity. 

Maintenance & Logistics 

  • Maintain storage and warehouse organization, recommending improvements for space management. 
  • Execute the facility’s maintenance plan, ensuring safe and operational equipment. 
  • Coordinate the scheduling of pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate service. 
  • Operate the Donation Center truck and forklift as needed. 

 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • 1+ years of experience in retail and/or warehouse operations, with a strong focus on customer service.
