About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a dynamic team where you will have contact with multiple areas across the business and grow in your skills
This is a full term permanent position based onsite in the Global Innovation Centre in Naas. We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm who likes to take on a challenge!
 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage specific projects throughout the project lifecycle, from original concept through post implementation; including scoping, planning, executing and reporting of projects
  • Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for project schedules, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Management Plan, including risk management, project change management, project measurement, and quality management plans.
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks. Make adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide a governance and coaching role for certain projects as required by the Business
  • Support senior business leads to scope and structure new initiatives, define and implement project/programme governance framework and create strategies for effective planning, monitoring and delivery of critical projects/programmes
  • Work with the PMO lead to determine appropriate project prioritisation and allocation of PMO resources
  • Drive cross project knowledge across related projects and best practice sharing and standardisation across the business

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including proven ability to establish and run effective Steering Committees. Effective negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive sponsorship and senior stakeholder management across all areas of the business.
  • Willingness to be ‘hands-on’ when required
  • Direct experience in project management with expert knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • A recognised project management qualification/membership would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proficient in multiple business disciplines, functions and knowledgeable about the business’ strategic direction
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • 2+ years' direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Strong planning and project management skills
