What You Will Do:
The Associate Director, Quality will own the execution of long & short-term quality strategy and operational direction. The Associate Director, Quality will lead multiple teams, directing Quality Engineering, MRB, Escape management, and CAPA for the organization. The Associate Director, Quality will set strategies and develop operational plans to develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols providing guidance and leadership across the organization in the implementation of corrective actions for design problems for internally produced products and processes.
Establish and implement Quality strategy aimed at reducing nonconformities and ensuring quality standards are built into the product being produced.
Lead the design and implementation of solutions to significantly complex and program-level nonconformities and to satisfy key quality issues raised by customers.
Drive the development of test and inspection plans, methods and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
Provide guidance and leadership for the identification and management of risk in product development, driving utilization of PPAP & MRL core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
Oversee Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and developing recommendations for corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Lead teams responsible for ensuring all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
Work with product & process design, and specification, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product; collaborate internally to ensure quality standards are in effect; ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
Develop proactive quality initiative strategies and drive their implementation; design and implement product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers
Responsible for development of new inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment with a track record of leading quality initiatives OR a Masters' Degree and minimum 10 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment
Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
Knowledge and effective practice of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience in a leadership/managerial capacity
