The Talent & Inclusion COE forms part of the People Strategy team. The People Strategy Team identifies, develops and delivers solutions, and is comprised of six centers of expertise — HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, Talent & Inclusion, Executive Compensation, Broad-Based Compensation and Benefits & Mobility. The People Strategy team delivers informed perspectives and creative solutions; anticipates and helps the organization respond to market, business and colleague needs; and brings a balance of deep technical expertise and consultative approach to identifying opportunities and developing scalable solutions that enable impact.
As the Senior Talent Partner for Corporate Functions, you will work closely with the Marsh McLennan Executive Committee (EC) Function leaders, their teams, and Corporate Functions Chief People Officer to deliver talent advisory and solutions that meet business needs, leveraging enterprise talent frameworks and learning solutions.
You will be part of the Marsh McLennan Talent and Inclusion COE Leadership Team. This role reports to the Talent and Inclusion Leader. The preferred location is New York.
The Talent and Inclusion Center of Expertise (COE) collaborates with the other teams in our People function to provide strategy, design, and subject matter expertise to the organization on talent management, development, learning, leadership, diversity and inclusion, social impact, performance and colleague experience drivers, ensuring alignment between people and business strategies. The COE implements programs that are simple and user-focused in a fast-moving environment.
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Talent Partner to collaborate with senior leadership, including the Corporate Functions Chief People Officer and EC Function Leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive global talent and learning plan. This role will focus on aligning talent initiatives with business goals to drive performance, growth, and engagement across the organization.
We will count on you to:
- Partner with senior leaders to translate business strategies into effective talent plans, in accordance with the Marsh McLennan Colleague Value Proposition.
- Connect organizational needs to talent and learning solutions, utilizing central frameworks.
- Drive world-class leadership by developing and implementing frameworks, tools, and processes to assess and cultivate top and growth talent. Provide guidance on interventions to accelerate development and identify potential risks, including coaching, mentorship, mobility and learning.
- Collaborate with Inclusion and Social Impact Partners to ensure we sustain our vibrant and inclusive culture, by fostering inclusion, engaging colleagues and impacting our communities.
- Design and manage senior leader promotion processes; advise on broader promotion practices across levels in accordance with the talent strategy and workforce planning.
- Consult on organizational design and effectiveness-related issues such as executive team effectiveness, global change programs, and growth initiatives
- Provide thought leadership as a trusted partner – Diagnose issues thoroughly, not accepting the presenting issue, but digging deeper to ensure solutions address root causes
- Leverage workforce analytics to assess talent trends, measure program effectiveness, and drive data-informed decisions. Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making
- Advise the COE design and delivery teams on client priorities and provide input into the design, communication and implementation of Talent and Learning solutions
What you need to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience developing and implementing a comprehensive global talent and learning plan within a large, cross-functional organization.
