Sr. IC Architecture Engineer

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc. seeks a Sr. IC Architecture Engineer based out of our office at 2151 East Lincoln Road, Kokomo, IN 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 20%.

Analyze present BorgWarner electronic systems to identify and develop ASIC concepts that provide BorgWarner a competitive edge in the marketplace; Participate with advanced systems development teams to architect the next generation power electronics systems with an emphasis on ASIC up integration and innovation; Perform simulations to validate concepts; Business case development including IC estimates and BOM studies; Preparation and presentation of detailed concept design reviews to management; and Work with ASIC Architects to define specifications.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering, or Applied Physics, and 60 months of experience in job offered or related. Experience must include: Experience in power conversion systems and microprocessor-based systems; experience in Power Electronics Inverter design and architecture; experience with system simulation and modeling tools and circuit simulation tools (LTSpice, MatLab, Excel).

International and domestic travel required, as needed, up to 20%.
