We are seeking a full time Technical Production Engineer for the Stormwater division in Portland, Maine. Will review drawings and designs from vendors ensuring company and regional specifications are adhered to. Audit Hydro Components and shipments to ensure products meet specifications. Provide customers, owners, and vendors of Hydro equipment continual technical assistance and instruction to ensure Hydro products are designed, built, installed, and operate as intended.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Domestic travel up to 50%. International travel occasionally.

- US citizenship or ability to work in the US.
Competence & Qualifications
- A degree in engineering or compatible work experience.
- 3 - 5 years of shop or field experience in installation, maintenance, and operation of similar or related equipment.
Skills & Attributes
- An excellent mechanical aptitude and physical ability to install and/or aid in the installation of stormwater products.
- Proven ability to be self-sufficient, problem solver.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Key Duties
- Review all Precast drawings of Hydro Structures or Structures built by customers purchasing internals
- Provide guidance on designing structures to house Hydro Components.
- Train vendors on installation of Hydro Internals
- On-site representation at equipment installs.
- Increases the customer’s knowledge of Hydro’s products by effectively facilitating installation, start-up, and maintenance of Hydro’s stormwater products
- Provide technical advice, assistance, and operation and maintenance training to customers of Hydro’s stormwater products.
- Monitor quality of internals, precast structures, shipments, and vendor installations
- Supervise the field installation of Hydro’s stormwater products as necessary.
- Perform inspections and develop standards of Hydro’s stormwater products in the molding/fabrication shop and in the field.
- Evaluate vendor products and developing standards to enhance performance and operation.
- Ensure a professional and seamless service to our customers by working closely with management and co-workers.
- In conjunction with sales, identify areas for product improvement or needs for new products.
- Maintain effective working relationships with associates, subordinates, suppliers and other stakeholders
